The Tri-Point Football League will be represented by 3 teams in this winter’s bowl games!
After the TPFL’s third season, it will be sending three teams to participate in the 2025 Bowl Games. The TPFL already has a history with the National Bowl Organizations in Florida. In the league’s inaugural season, the 2023 League Champion Greensburg Golden Hawks accepted an invite to play in Daytona in 2024. Unfortunately they came up just short of winning the TPFL and the team’s first
National Championship. Year two ended with better results as the Ohio Gladiators went on to their first League Championship ever on route to win the team’s and the TPFL’s first ever Bowl Championship. Coming out of Tri-Point’s third season, the league is honored to have three teams represent them in warmer weather this January and extends their appreciation by covering 60% of the league champions entrance fees.
The Columbus Fire – Columbus, Ohio
2024 TPFL Tier 1 Champions
National Football Events – National Bowl Weekend
January 18th, 2025
Altamonte Springs (Orlando), FL
The Columbus Fire has a championship tradition that very few teams can match. They are a perennial contender for league championships no matter what league they appear in each season. The Fire roster is packed with big, powerful, and fast athletes who bring hard nosed football to every game. They’ve combined their talented roster with a very experienced coaching staff. Winning the TPFL T1 Championship in their first year in the league provides an outstanding forecast for success for their 2025 NFE National Bowl Weekend game.
The Stark County Wolfpack – Canton, Ohio
2024 TPFL Tier 2 Champions

When a new team comes into existence it has goals. Step one, win your first game. Step two is usually to complete your first season and start to build towards a league championship appearance. Not the Wolfpack though. Owner Mike Kyle took it straight to winning the TPFL T2 League Championship in the team’s first ever season. Staying active this offseason should prove to give them an upper hand as they look to be part of the TPFL’s hopeful trifecta of National Championship Bowl Winners. While they may be the most unlikely TPFL team to win in January, the Pack thrives as underdogs. Don’t count them out as the pack looks to bring more championship pedigree to the “330”.
The Erie Express – Erie, Pennsylvania
2024 TPFL Tier 1 Runners-up
AFR Championship Series – USA Bowl
January 18th, 2025
Daytona, FL
In recent years, Erie has been a powerhouse that expects to be in the conversation any time champions are mentioned. Boasting some of the region’s top athletes and some of this level’s most exciting players is Erie’s bread and butter. Owner Paul Pennington has also built an outstanding and respected staff. They ended the 2024 TPFL season (their first in the league) as the T1 Runners-up after falling to the Fire in August. Ready to redeem themselves, they look to cement their names in history with a 2025 USA Bowl win in Daytona this winter.
I would like to express my gratitude to Doug Horning once more for the league article and flyer.
