Week 2 Honors for Player of the Week and Offensive Lines

by League Owners

EACH WEEK THE TPFL is HONORING AN OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE PLAYER FOR EACH TIER AS PLAYER OF THE WEEK. WE ALL KNOW FOOTBALL GAMES CAN'T BE PLAYED WITHOUT THE BIG OL' BOYS IN THE TRENCHES. SO, THE TPFL WILL ALSO HONOR THE BEST OFFENSIVE LINE PERFORMANCE FOR EACH TIER AS WELL.

Week 2 - Tier 1 - Offensive Player of the Week - David "Slap" Thompson - Cleveland Cobras
Slap is a long-time veteran and showed his experience this week. If he can't get you through the air, he'll just score three touchdowns on the ground instead.

Week 2 - Tier 1 - Defensive Player of the Week - Kris Ford - Erie Express
Kris wreaked havoc behind the line of scrimmage racking up a handful of tackles for a loss and a couple sacks. "50" is gonna be in the backfield all day if you don't stop him.

Week 2 - Tier 1 Offensive Line of the Week - Cleveland Cobras

The Cobras O'Line  paved the way for almost 200 yards on the ground. True "Road Graders", they will look to continue that going into week 3 and 4.

Week 2 - Tier 2 - Offensive Player of the Week - Anthony Mendoza - Tusc County Warriors
Anthony is one of the up and coming passers in the league and definitely has some great targets. Mendoza put up 185 yards through the air, along with 2 touchdowns.

Week 2 - Tier 2 - Defensive Player of the Week - George Freeman - Mahoning Valley Federals
George is one of the leagues premier pass rushers and lit up the stats sheet with a half dozen tackles, 3 sacks and even a pass defensed. He's putting Offensive Tackles around the league on notice.

Week 2 - Tier 2 - Offensive Line of the Week - West Virginia Leviathan
The Leviathan's big boys have been rumbling this season and when they gel they are a force. Just ask the Leviathan Running Backs, Davis and Barner. The "Levis" scored 4 touchdowns behind their O' Line in week 2.
